Polish classical and film music composer Wojciech Kilar dies aged 81

Wojciech Kilar has died aged 81 after a long battle with illness. Kilar composed many symphonies and concertos but became known internationally as the author of dozens of film soundtracks, including Roman Polanski's The Pianist and Francis Ford Coppola's Bram Stoker's Dracula.

Vienna Philharmonic orchestra strips honours from former Nazi leaders
