Robert Ainsley, the head of music staff and chorus master of Opera Theatre of St. Louis and the head of music at the Minnesota Opera, will join the Washington National Opera as the new director of the Domingo-Cafritz Young Artist Program and the American Opera Initiative, the Minnesota Opera announced Friday.
